Each time you shoot, you receive a chance at the bow prize or 5 chances with a day pass. Adults who shoot earn a chance for their child to win!

They will have about a dozen rides. Half for children & half for adults. The price is $1 per ticket with each ride being 2-4 tickets.

New Kids Contest

September 5th

This is open to kids age 6-11 years of age. Decorate a vegetable using any items you have at home! You can decorate them to look like an animal, a person or
whatever you want! Bring your decorated vegetable to the Exhibit Hall by 11am, Sunday Sept 5. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners.

Saturday, Sept 4th • 10 a.m.
The Littlefork Saddle Club will host an open horse show on Saturday, Sept 4th in the arena. The show starts at 10 a.m. with Halter & Western Pleasure classes
followed by timed events. The horse show offers over 40 classes with 4 age groups. There is something for every rider regardless of age or riding level.

The Littlefork Saddle Club welcomes all riders and encourages everyone to come watch! Ribbons will be awarded for 1st - 6th place. Proof of current negative coggins required for all horses.
Some classes available are Halter, Showmanship, 2 & Under Longeline, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Egg & Spoon, One Barrel Pennant, Barrels, Jump Figure 8, Key Race, Pole Weaving, Speed Dash and Lead Line Classes are offered for new riders.

Get your 4x4 trucks and 4-wheelers ready for the Northern Minnesota District Fair’s Mud Runs! Conducted by the North Country Mud Racing Association.
This is one of the fair’s most popular spectator event.

Riding Mower Races

Dig out your mower and get ready to race!
Bring your regular stock mower or build one before Saturday
Sept 4th, 2010 • 6pm at the Fair Grounds in Littlefork, MN
Warm-ups @5pm, Race at 6pm. Race will be 100 foot straight drags. 5pm Entertainment for the whole family.

Rules: 1. Every entrant must wear a helmet 2. Must use riding mower frame/chasis 3. Must use riding mower engine (up to 20 h.p. in modified class) 4. Must be at least 14 years old to race. Minors must have parent present and sing waiver form. 5. Must have working motor kill switch. $10 entry fee. There will be a modified and stock class. Winnings depend on munber of entries. Seperate payout for each class. Additional rules or changes will be discussed at drivers meeting before the races. Mowers must have race number. Decisions of the race official will be final! The Littlefork Fire Department 50-50 BINGO stand will be open Friday and Saturday from 1-11 p.m. and Monday from 1-6 p.m. Proceeds go toward training and supplies for the Fire Department.

Schoolhouse

The Schoolhouse at the Northern Minnesota District Fair will showcase
curriculum offerings and financial aid information from Mesabi Range Community & Technical College in Virginia and Eveleth, MN as well as from Rainy River Community College in International Falls. The information will be provided by Indigenous Services Director Stephen Briggs.
