Class 17 – Photography
All photos will be displayed by hanging or on a display shelf. For display purposes, photos need to be matted or secured to plain white card stock. The matt or card stock must be at least 5x8. Framing is permitted. All framed photographs must have hangers and be ready to hang.
If you wish to protect the surface of your photographs frame them under glass or use a clear plastic wrap over the photo.
1. Photographs smaller than 8x10 which are not matted or secured to card stock: The Fair will have card stock, plastic wrap, etc. available in the exhibit hall. Exhibitors can use these supplies during the Fair to display their entries. Volunteers will be available to assist exhibitors with preparing their photos for display.
2. Photographs larger than 8x10: Must be matted and/or framed by the exhibitor.
3. Judging will be based on the photo image, not the presentation (not the mat or frame).
4. Any photograph which has been Computer enhanced or manipulated should be entered in Lot 938 or Lot 952. If possible, please include the original photo along with the entry so the skill of this technique can be evaluated.
5. Due to limited space exhibitors may enter only 2 photos per lot no.
