General Rules & Regulations
Entry Day – Friday, September 2, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

1. All rules and regulations will be strictly adhered to. The number of entries per exhibitor will not be restricted in any lot. However, the cash premiums paid to an individual exhibitor will be limited to two placings in a lot.
2. No article or animal shall compete for more than one premium. This rule shall not debar sweepstakes or special premium competition for which no entry is required.
3. Vegetables, fruits, dairy products and domestic manufactures must have been raised or made by the exhibitors.
4. Every article in competition must correspond in number and description with the premium list and be in its proper class and lot in order to obtain premiums.
5. Each entry tag shall be securely attached to the entry itself, or the stall, pen or receptacle in which it is shown.
6. All articles and livestock entered must be in place by 6pm Friday and remain on exhibition until 4pm last day of fair to collect premiums, unless OK’d by fairboard member.
7. No article or animal on exhibition will be permitted to be taken away before the close of the fair under penalty of forfeiture of premium, except by permission of the superintendent of the division in which it is exhibited.
8. Those in charge of the different divisions shall conveniently group each lot in various classes.
9. The exhibitors will at all times give the necessary attention to whatever he/she may have on exhibit and at the close of the fair take charge of the same. The association will take every precaution in its power for the preservation of articles and stock in exhibition, but cannot be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur in the delivery, exhibition, or removal of the exhibits.
10. No person will be permitted to distribute advertising material on the grounds, except from their place of business or exhibit. The tacking or posting of any advertisements, bills, cards, etc., other than within the space occupied by exhibitors is strictly prohibited. The distribution of handbills, fliers, heralds, etc. will not, under any circumstances be permitted. Anyone violating this rule will be liable to a fine or expulsion from the grounds, as the board may elect.
11. There will be no awards except those listed in the premium book.
12. Basis for judging will be quality, quantity, uniformity, arrangement, appearance, labeling, etc.

14. Junior Exhibitors (age 16 and under at the time of entry) will be judged separately in all classes. The same item or animal can not be entered and compete in both Junior and 4-H.
15. All exhibitors must be non-professional in the area(s) they are entering exhibits.
16. Please contact Stephanie Promersberger at least 10 days prior to fair to assure enough stalling for all animals at 278-4234.
Awards
The fair will pay cash for premiums on the last day of the fair. (Premiums will be paid Sunday, September 4 at the Fair office.)
1. The superintendent of the division or some other person appointed shall keep a record of the awards made. This record, when completed, shall be returned to the Chairperson of Exhibits.
2. All the awards on entries shall be designated by ribbons or stickers as follows: First premium, blue; second, red; third, white.
3. All awards shall be made by comparison of the individual merits of the entries.
4. Premiums will not be awarded on articles or animals of inferior merit. If no competition exists and/or an exhibit is not worthy of a first premium, the judge may award a second, third or no premium, according to his or her judgment.
5. Any special award listed in the premium list may not be awarded if in the opinion of the judge sufficient competition or merit of exhibits in the Division or Class does not exist.
6. The decisions of the judges shall be final in all classes.
7. Only two premiums per exhibitor can be awarded in any one lot.
